We have a heartbeat!!!

I just have to say that hearing that heartbeat was the BEST sound!!! Now don't get me wrong... I LOVE hearing Claudia and many other things... but it is just so amazing that all of that is happening inside my body!!! There is a real miracle in there!!! God is certainly GREAT!!! It took my OB a little while to find it and of course I was nervous, but when she found it it was nice and strong... 154... and she wanted it to be between 120-160 so we were GREAT!!! I also have to add that I just LOVE my OB... she was so sweet. When we were finished she stood up and said "Congratulations... you've made it through the hardest and most stressful part... you look great, you're in your 2nd trimester... now go home and enjoy your pregnancy!!!" Then she ended the appointment with a hug... she is just SO sweet!!! I am really feeling blessed today... what an amazing feeling!!! Thanks for all your love and prayers!!! ~ Jenn

2nd Trimester!!!!

Well... I've officially made it to the 2nd Trimester... and boy does it feel good!!! This morning I hit 14 weeks!!! I am still having some Morning Sickness... more in the afternoon, but the key is that it is OCCASIONAL... and not all the time!!! I am also still dealing with headaches, but they are much more managable than all day sickness!!! I want to thank everyone who has been praying for us... your thoughts and prayers mean the world to us... THANK YOU!!! Tomorrow I go to the doctor and we will be hearing the heartbeat for the 1st time... I can't wait!!! We saw the little heartbeat flutttering away at the Ultrasound, but it is totally different when you actually get to hear it!!! I will make sure to update the blog tomorrow evening... Love ~ Jenn

12 week Update and Belly Picture...

Today I hit the 12 week mark and it's amazing how my body has changed. I have still been pretty sick, but the morning sickness is SLOWLY getting better... thank goodness!!! Now I am dealing with exhaustion and more frequent headaches. I only have 4 more weeks of work and I can't wait to be done for the summer. I am really looking forward to getting some things done around the house. It's been so hard to keep up on things because many days it takes all my energy just to work and to be a mom and wife... so the house has been put on the back burner... and many of you know that that is not like me. I am really trying not to let things like that NOT bother me right now and just take it easy... it will all be here waiting for me when I am done working.


Jon thinks this baby is a boy... he said he's just going by how I've been feeling, and that it has been MUCH harder for me this time. We're just going to have to wait and see though as we are not finding out if our little pumpkin is a Prince or a Princess.


Claudia LOVES talking to the baby. We ask her everyday if it's a baby brother or a baby sister... and so far her answers are pretty inconsistent... and that's alright. She is really funny though when she talks to the baby. She has to pull up my shirt and tells the baby everything she did throughout the day, and always ends with a "See you in October Baby... I love you!"... followed by a kiss on my belly. It's really priceless!!! I can't wait until we can feel and see the baby move and to have the baby kick her one of these times... that is going to be so special!!!


Well that's about it around here... I can't believe the next time I take a picture of this belly I will be 16 weeks... until then here is the latest belly pic... taken at 12 weeks...

Wow!!! I am REALLY growing... it's hard to believe that I have actually lost almost 10 lbs since we found out we were expecting... you'd never guess it by looking at that belly.

Thanks for sharing in this special journey with us... we can't wait to meet this little pumpkin!!!

Busy Weekend!!!

We are home from our Family Vacation. We had a great time... besides the fact that I got the yucky flu on Saturday. It was hard being sick and I felt really bad... but my family is AWESOME and they were VERY supportive. Here is a picture of us at Cabela's... (check out Claudia's blog for more on our vacation)...

On a baby update...

I've officially had my 1st appointment... it went well... my OB is great!!! Everything looked great... she tried to hear the heartbeat, but my uterus is tipped back and I'm early yet so we weren't able to hear it, but that's okay... I saw it on my earlier U/S so I know it's there:) My next appointment is in 4 weeks, and then we'll hear it for sure:) I also lost more weight and am actually at my lowest weight since before I got pregnant with Claudia, so I am happy about that. My OB wasn't concerned either so that was a relief. We also talked about my chances of having another C-Section... it will definitely be different having a set date to have this little pumpkin. All in all it was well... I just wish I felt better... since getting hit with the flu this weekend I just can't get on top of it!! I seriously feel like I've been hit by a semi-truck... thankfully I am on Spring Break right now, so I can rest up and get myself healthy.
